Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has conferred today with a delegation led by a Somaliland President

 Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo in Addis Ababa.

The Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has conferred today with a delegation led by a Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo on issues of bilateral relations and common interests.

The two leaders exchanged views on fostering their existing cooperation in trade, investment and economic development.

They have also discussed on ways of linking the two countries with infrastructure and developing Berbera port as Ethiopia has remained desirous to use the port to promote its foreign economic relations and trade.

They have also agreed to cooperate in ensuring peace and security in the region as well as fighting against terrorism.

The Somali land President on his part confirmed that he discussed with Ethiopia’s Premier on issue.

The History of Hawd and Reserve in Somali

This is a Historical Background of Hawd  and Reserve Area . Unlike  distorted Ogaden historical narration, Somali Region ( Somali Galbeed) has had two historical moments:The Ogaden in 1948 and The Hawd  and Reserve Area in 1954. Omar Arteh, one of the seasoned somali diplomats narrated on the historical moment of Hawd  and Reserve Area in 2000. He was one of the people who witnested when the history was making in that part of land. The narration is in Somali.
